UNUSED/OLD Levels

Unused levels are interesting in Little Nightmares 2. Firstly you can find some old/leftover ones in the files, in which you can access by replacing the actual game's levels or simply by hacking. BUT, what the average Little Nightmares fan doesn't know is that LN2 has a system called "PuzzlePieceSystem", in which it registers an object that is part of a puzzle in a level. The thing is, the files have leftovers for EVERY SINGLE LEVEL THAT HAS EVER BEEN REGISTERED SINCE THE START. Unfortunately, they are just names/paths, but it's still something.

UNUSED DLC (LN3?)

Everyone in the community always wondered if there would ever be a Nightmares 2 DLC, and the answer? It is in files of the enhanced edition. And the best part? It was probably an early stage of Little Nightmares 3's development.

First of all, the base game of LN2 has this unused texture for the chapter selection screen (TEX_TV_Numbers_Roman) that shows 8 numbers. But LN2 only has 5 chapters...which means those other three were probably meant to be dlc.
Here's where the interesting part starts. When the enhanced edition came out, in its files, were added some puzzlepiecesystems and also new persistent levels (which are basically chapters) with interesting names. The first was "JustStatic" or "PowerPlant", Second one was "BackToSchool" and the third was "UnderCity". i'LL be diving into each section in these pages below.
Every LN game has a greek name for its project. LN1 was Atlas, LN2 was Helios, and this "dlc" was under the codename "Selene".
Alongside these levels, several interesting audio files were added too.

If you try to search for any of the levels in the files of the enhanced edition now, you won't be able to find anything, because me and some other people actually warned SMG about this back in 2021 so it wouldn't get leaked two years prior to reveal :)
I'm just now talking about this because LN3 is a thing and is way different than all of this.
