SCHOOL

The school has an interesting amount of unused levels both leftovers in the files and in the puzzle piece systems. Some are older versions of we got, while some were completely scrapped.

LVL_2_010_SchoolCityAlley is a leftover level in the files that would be used in the beginning of the chapter. judging by the fence and the store, it was most likely reused and improved for the alley before the final viewer chase in the pale city.

These are older versions of the levels for the
school's entrance. As you can clearly see, it
had a makeshift bridge, which Mono would explode.
Obviously, they reused the makeshift brige for the end of the chapter.

The alley in the left has a very interesting sign.
The sign with only "ST K" is unused in the final game and only used here (and in the announcement trailer). Judging by the fallen "T", it would most likely spell "Statik". Tarsier Studios' other game. (IDK what they have with statik to reference it so much in LN2)

LVL_240_DormitoryBunkbedsWeapon is a blockout level leftover in the files for the dormitory at the start of the school chapter. Looks way bigger than the one we got.

LVL_2_045_SecretApartment is a weird case. It's just an empty apartment where i assumed some secret would be there for you to find.

At the start of the school chapter, we would've used a zipline

After escaping the teacher in the classroom and meeting the chained bully, we would've gone through a classroom with a tv and a projector room. (Probably where the unused hypnotized bully animation was used) and then we would go to a storage room before going to the rafters scene we got in the final game. In er

The school library was originally meant to have three floors, and even have an elevator in it. A picture of this multi-floor library is still used in-game

In-between the cafeteria scene and the biology room, we would've went through a gym level that led to showers. The ambience for the showers is still in the files, and one of the assets for the gym is used in the piano room puzzle.

As mentioned in the unused assets for the detonator, we would've crafted one in a chemistry lab/classroom.

In the very old versions of the school, we would still enter through the dormitories, but it would lead to a toilet after that instead (and it was a way longer section)

Fun fact: the "music" that plays in the attic of the wilderness was actually made for the school's attic. This is more noticeable when you compare the attic's theme to the bullies' ambient theme.

During the cafeteria scene, there was supposed to be a big fight that led to a long chase with the bullies. The announcement trailer shows a staged version of this.

We were originally going to see the principal's lounge in-game

As mentioned in the detonator section of the unused assets, we would've created one to explode the bullies once and for all.

At the end of the chapter, we would've gone through the quarters of the teacher. I wonder what backstory elements we would've seen in it...

Lastly, back in December 2018, while they were working on the gym area of the school, there are mentions of a "Gym Teacher". No idea if it was an actual gym teacher or if that was just the teacher's office in the gym.
